Help..

I am open to suggestions on how to deal with all that is/isn't going on with our Vietnam adoptions. Has anyone BTDT with the last disruption? HELP, I need somebody, help!!

I'm afraid that I can't help too much, but I would like to share something my Aunt once told me when we first started our adoption (1.5 years ago!). Her statement has always stuck with me and has helped me put things in perspective. Whenever I felt like I couldn't wait even one more day, whenever I felt a lot of doubt, I always think of her words: "what is a year or two in the grand scheme of things?...You will one day have a lifetime of joy when you are home with your child...compare a lifetime of joy to a couple of years of waiting..." OK, you get the drift! I hope this helps in some small way. Uncertainty is the scariest part of adoption, I will be praying that you find peace during this rough time.; May 2, 2008 at 9:28 AM
